Do I need to give the cook ideas of things to cook for us?

A menu is provided that gives you many options for lunch and dinner.

How far is the house from the beach?

The house is 150 meters from the beach.

What are the house amenities?

Amenities include a cook, laundry service, daily housekeeping, AC in the bedrooms, bath towels, beach towels and bedding. You will need to bring clothes and money for groceries.

Do I have to book a full week?

No! You can book as few as 3 days or as many as 14, and you can check in and out on any day of the week, as long as it's available. This will also make it much easier to find less-expensive flights. Flying midweek can save you as much as 50%! If you're considering a stay longer than 14 days, please message us directly.

Are there any direct flights to the Dominican?

There are flights from the JFK and BOS airport that fly directly to Santo Domingo. We recommend buying flights at least 4 months out, if possible. Start checking rates 8+ months out. If you see flights under $400/person you should buy!

How far is the drive from Santo Domingo to Casa del Mar?

The drive from the airport to the house is about 2 hours.

Rental car or a taxi from the airport?

There is a taxi service that will drive you from the airport to the house and the taxi can fit 6-8 people. For larger groups, multiple taxis can be rented.

Does the price of the house change depending on the amount of people?

No, the price of the house is fixed, however, for 7+ people a second cook is required for an extra $25 per day.

What if I don't speak the language?

Download an app like Google Translate and you'll be able to communicate remarkably well. The app can even use the camera and translate signs, menus, etc right on your screen!
